The Highland Park Community Association is hosting Spooktacular: A Halloween Party. This party is for children 10 and under. Activities include a costume contest, pumpkin carving, games, crafts and cupcake decorating. This event is open to everyone and tickets are $10 per person. Spooktacular: A Halloween Party is scheduled for Sunday, October 28th from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
The Calgary Underground Film Festival is once again hosting its all-night 12-Hour Halloween Horror Movie Marathon. The marathon starts at 7 PM (doors open at 6 PM) and goes until 7 AM, with free breakfast served for participants who stay until the morning. Various giveaways will occur throughout the night. Movies include Hell Fest, Christine, Murder Party, High Tension, Graduation Day, House of 1000 Corpses and Drag Me To Hell.
Halloween Weekend Musical Performances & Parties
On Saturday, October 27th, Marquee Beer Market and Stage will be holding an event titled A Nightmare on Macleod Trail. DJ AL-V will be playing party anthems from 9 PM to 2 AM. Costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be given in three categories: Best individual, best duo and best group. Tickets are free if attendees RSVP before 10:30 PM on the 27th.
Ranchman’s Fright Night, also scheduled for Saturday, is set to occur from 4 PM to 2 AM at Ranchman’s Cookhouse & Dancehall. This event also features a costume contest, with the winner receiving $1,005 in cash. Bull rides and breakfast are free.
